The Spartan Ultra Beast

Andy Richards was the first to operate tours to the Royal National Park. He started UDU in 2006, and used to be a “Sherpa” of sorts, carrying 30-40kg on a 16km bushwalk up and down the lower parts of The Coast Track.

Although happily running “Moonwalks” and vehicle based day Eco-tours, it seems that he misses a physical challenge. So he says that he would really love to take active groups out to the Royal National Park, and to do that he is going to first build up his credentials.

Earlier this year he did his first obstacle race, the Spartan Sprint in Sydney. Loving it but wanting bigger challenges, he has signed up to do the Spartan Super in Melbourne, but the big one he’s training for is The SPARTAN ULTRA BEAST, a gruelling 42km long mud race.
Building up to this he will do the Sydney Marathon this year, but he says hes dream is to rank in the top 5 in the Coastal Classic, a 29km run that goes the length of his beloved Royal National Park.

So if you are active an looking for a guide in Sydney who has a love of both the bush and Exercise, Andy could be your man!
