8 Things I love this week: New Zealand, Zumba, Love on Top

Time for another gratitude round up…

Our trip to New Zealand

We had a fantastic first family of four holiday to New Zealand. The only problem being that it was too short! You can read more about it over on y travel blog on our posts written about the New Zealand trip, or see some photos of our family time in Rotorua.

Speaking at the Australian Writers Convention

I was incredibly nervous to be talking about writing and blogging to a group of professional writers. I kept thinking they would check my blog and see how bad my writing is!! It, however, went really well. They were a receptive audience, who were very excited by the possibility of travel blogging and the opportunities available in Australia.

Inspirational Quote

“The brick walls are not there to keep us out; the brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something”- Randy Pausch

Zumba

I am going Zumba mad lately, doing it every day. I love it because it is fun exercise. I am sure I look ridiculous, and Craig giggles a lot. I would never call myself a dancer, but my soul is loving it as my body so who cares!

Song of the Week: Love on Top by Beyonce

I love the soul in this song! So much fun.

I don’t know how she manages to dance in that black suit at the end without her boobs flopping out.

Breaking through fears and just doing it

Four years ago I met one of the most inspirational person, Yossi Ghinsberg, whose stories and lessons learned from them have had a huge impact on my life. I have really wanted to interview him on our podcast for a very long time, but have been too scared to ask.

Last night, I just got over that and asked. Feels good to break through your fear barriers. Now if only he’ll say yes! If he does I will be stoked, yet will freak out.

Blog Post: The Difference between You and the Most incredible People on Earth- Corbert Barr

I love this post by Corbert Barr outlining how you can be extraordinary. It just means doing a few extra things that others aren’t willing to do.

It is similar to my guest post this week on Lifehack: how to go from ordinary to extraordinary

I think she’s using a heck of a lot of tape…or her costume dept is anyway. Thanks for the reminder to breathe in life today! x

Yeah, they have to be using something. She better enjoy it because once that baby comes those girls just aren’t going to sit up that perkily anymore!
