Who Is Making Your Decisions?

Many times in our life we feel as if we have no control over the path our life is taking and the decisions that are being made.

The most empowering lesson you can ever learn is that you are the master of your destiny. You can control your decisions and have absolute power over them.

It is easy to say that you can’t because of money, or time, or your children, work, parents etc.

So our Thought of the Week is

Decisions are being made right now.  The question is:  Are you making them for yourself, or are you letting others make them for you?

Thought of the week

Your thoughts?

I would like to say that I am absolutely making the decisions for myself, but in all honesty I can’t. I think I am doing a good job of improving on this. There have been a couple of instances lately where I have been waiting for others to make the decision that will effect the direction of the path I want to move in.

I have decided that I cannot and will not let others get in the way of my dreams. So have taken ownership back of those decisions to find a way to make it work for myself.

No one will ever care about you and your dreams like you will. It is time to take the ownership back and start making those decisions for yourself. Why wait any longer?

I am very good at taking ownership for my own decisions, goals and life choices. The challenge for me is to not make decisions for my entire family – ie., my lovely hubby! Sometimes I think he is more concerned about my wants and needs that he tends to defer to me and let me make a lot of the ‘big’ decisions. Its wonderful that he cares so much but sometimes I feel a burden of having to make those decisions alone and am left wondering…”This is what I want and think is best but is it what he wants as well?”

    Thought provoking, Caz 🙂

Great way of thinking about it. I hadn’t thought about looking at it from that angle. i know what you mean. I hate the burden of making decisions for others. i find that happens if we travel with family. As I am a teacher, I kind of fit into that role of leader and decision maker and people are happy for me to make all the decisions for the group. I hate that though as I don’t want to be responsible for others happiness. Trying to make decisions to please everyone is hard.
