Want free accommodation? Win a Hilton Stay
Just a quick post today to let you know of a fab giveaway on y travel blog.
One of the biggest expenses you have with travel are your accommodation costs. We’ve been able to travel for so long as we’ve been able to find ways to drastically reduce this cost. Some of those choices have involved sleeping in cars, under the stars, or in dodgy dog kennel like structures!
We’ve also taken to measures like attending Time Share presentations, just to get the free accommodation. Thank you Turkey, Florida, Charleston and a couple more!
Hilton HHonors the rewards program attached to the Hilton chain of hotels has given us 100,000 reward points to give away. What this means is you can choose how to use those rewards for accommodation stays anywhere you please.
You could go all out and use all the points for 2 nights at their flashiest of hotels (Category 7), or you could lower the category rating to get a longer stay out of the points. For example our recent stay in Hilton Phuket Arcadia would get you 4 nights with 100,000 points. That hotel is considered a category 3, and to my expert eyes, it was pretty flash.
I know what I’d be choosing, more nights at a lessor category. Don’t feel you have to travel overseas to use them either, getaways in your own country are just as exciting, even if it is in your own city. It’s a great way to rediscover it for free.
