I’m currently typing this post with Savannah snuggled against my chest.

No I am not extraordinarily good at balancing a baby while I type, nor am I typing one-handed. I am hands free thanks to the hug a bub carrier wrap.

I have been trying the hug a bub out over the last couple of days and after a rocky start with me trying to tie it on and fearing I was going to drop my cuddly newborn, I have now gotten it all sussed and am enjoying my new found Mummy freedom.

Savannah has not been doing so well lately with her day time sleeps. I can at least be glad night time is going okay.

The hug a bub is freeing me up to get some things done and giving her a chance to close those eyes of hers as she snuggles close to her mummy and listens to that familiar heart beat that kept her comforted for those nine months in her warm cocoon.

I’m sure with the hug a bub she feels as if she is back in there, which is what I love so much about it. The hug a bub feels different to other carriers in that it wraps the baby around you in a womb like embrace so she feels like she is part of you again. Other carriers make it feel like they are just a transportation method.
