All I could think about was how safe I used to find London, which was my home for two and a half years. The police didn&#8217;t even have guns. After this week&#8217;s performance, they may just be carrying them more often now. Hackney, one of the worst areas for the riots, was the area I taught in. My very <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ytravelblog.com\/my-experiences-teaching-overseas\/\" target=\"_blank\">first experience teaching<\/a>. \u00a0It was heartbreaking to see such senseless violence.<\/p>\n<p>I really enjoyed readug C&#8217;est Christine&#8217;s thoughts on <strong>&#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cestchristine.com\/2011\/08\/what-the-london-riots-made-me-realize\/\" target=\"_blank\">What the London Riots Made me\u00a0Realize.<\/a>&#8220;<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Malaysian Lunch at Chinta Ria<\/h2>\n<p>Again, we were out eating Malaysian food this week for the Malaysian Kitchen Bloggers Ambassador Programme. We dined on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ytravelblog.com\/malaysian-lunch-chinta-ria-darling-harbour\/\" target=\"_blank\">Chinta Ria roof terrace of Cockle Bay Darling Harbour <\/a>for Sunday lunch. Once again it was divine and I am falling deeply in love with Laksa and Malaysian food.<\/p>\n<h2>Song: Waiting on an Angel by Ben Harper<\/h2>\n<p>The minute<strong><a title=\"Byron Bay Bluesfest: Messages from the Artists\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mojitomother.com\/2011\/05\/byron-bay-bluesfest-messages-from-the-artists\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Ben Harper <\/a><\/strong>opens his mouth I feel love. I love this song <strong>Waiting on an Angel<\/strong>. I found a great version of it on you tube with Vanessa Paradis. They were there for me for my first trip abroad in 97 and have been with me ever since.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday three of my old faithful friends arrived. Actually, I have felt like my old self. It is amazing how free and relaxed I feel.
